This is a simple post to update everyone on the status of our Affiliate Directory, provide some insight in to our future and give you the opportunity to provide feedback on our website.

A few items we are currently working on and considering adding to the website:

1. Updating the site design to be more user friendly, easier to navigate to the various categories through either the sidebar or breadcrumb navigation.
2. Adding more functionality to the affiliate members listing administration: the ability to moderate submitted reviews, update affiliate program details (commission rates, type of program, etc) and article submission.
3. Affiliate tips and articles submission. This is where you can post affiliate marketing related articles about your program, industry, affiliate tips and more.
4. Affiliate Forums. One of the last items in consideration, but with so many great affiliate forums out there already, getting participation and involvement is another task. Management and spam prevention is another one.
5. Affiliate blogger profiles: who are the top affiliate bloggers out there?
6. Your new category suggestions or site functionality.

Promoting  & Finding Affiliate Programs

The affiliate directory serves two purposes:

• for affiliate publishers and website owner to find new money making affiliate programs to join
• for affiliate merchants who wish to promote their program through alternative channels online. Visibility, exposure and traffic is key.

Adding a New Affiliate Program

We have placed out ‘submit a listing‘ or ‘submit an affiliate program‘ functionality on hold for now, until we work out a few details on our end. Expected update: July/August 2010.
